Classical ballet following the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, from first steps through Pre-Primary and Primary grades. Posture, musicality, grace and the joy of dancing.
Fun, confidence-building singing classes. Children learn to use their voices well, sing together and perform their favourite songs with real expression.
Drama and musical theatre that brings stories to life. Acting games, characters and little performances that build confidence on and off the stage.

About the school
Miss Sophie's School of Ballet is a small, friendly dance school in the heart of Wisborough Green. Classes are warm and welcoming, with the emphasis on good technique, musicality and, above all, enjoying every minute.
Ballet follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, the world's most respected ballet training, so children learn properly from their very first plié. Singing and theatre classes grow confidence, creativity and friendships that last well beyond the studio.

Our ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus. When they are ready, pupils can take RAD class awards and examinations, earning certificates and medals that mark each step of their journey.
In 2025 our very first group of little dancers sat their RAD Pre-Primary in Dance assessments, and every one of them came away with a certificate and medal to be proud of.

Children can start from pre-school age. Our youngest dancers learn through music, stories and play before moving on to the Royal Academy of Dance Pre-Primary and Primary grades. Get in touch and we will suggest the right class for your child.
Yes. We welcome new pupils with a trial class so your child can meet Miss Sophie and see if they enjoy it. Contact us by phone, email or Instagram to arrange one.
For a trial class, comfortable clothes they can move in and bare feet or ballet shoes if they have them. Once enrolled we will let you know the simple class uniform.
Yes. Our ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and pupils have the option to take RAD examinations and class awards when they are ready. Our first dancers sat their RAD Pre-Primary in Dance assessments in 2025.
All classes are held at Zoar Chapel, Wisborough Green, Billingshurst, West Sussex, RH14 0BH, a lovely light hall in the heart of the village.
